Getting Started

Before Contacting Support

Check these resources first - your answer might already be available!
Use the search bar at the top of this page to find answers to common questions.
Error messages often contain helpful information about what went wrong. Check the error object in your API response.
Ensure your API key is correct and hasn’t expired. You can regenerate it in your account settings.
Use the Check Credits endpoint to verify you have sufficient credits.

How to Report an Issue

When contacting support, please include:

Describe the issue

Explain what you’re trying to do and what’s not working as expected.

Include your API key prefix

Share the first 8 characters of your API key for identification.
Never share your full API key. Only the first 8 characters.

Provide the request details

Include the endpoint URL, request body (with sensitive data redacted), and any error messages.

Share the response

Include the full API response, including status code and error details.

Example Support Request

**Issue:** Email validation returning "unknown" for valid emails

**API Key Prefix:** abc12345...

**Endpoint:** POST /v1/people/email-validation

**Request Body:**

**Expected:** Status should be "valid" as the email exists.

Common Issues

Cause: Invalid or missing API key.Solution:
  • Verify your API key in the dashboard
  • Check the header name is exactly X-API-Key
  • Ensure there are no extra spaces in the key
Cause: Insufficient credits in your account.Solution:
Cause: Rate limit exceeded.Solution:
  • Reduce your request frequency
  • Implement exponential backoff
  • Contact us for higher limits
Cause: The domain accepts all emails.Solution:

Policies

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel your subscription at any time under Settings > Billing > Cancel Subscription.
Important Notes:
  • When a subscription is cancelled, you’ll have access to your account and credits until the end of the billing cycle
  • At that time, any remaining credits will be deactivated and unusable
  • You can reactivate your subscription at any time

Refund Policy

LeadMagic does not provide refunds. Please review your plan selection carefully before purchasing.
If you have concerns about a charge, please contact support@leadmagic.io and we’ll work with you to find a solution.

Data Usage & Privacy

LeadMagic is committed to protecting your privacy and handling data responsibly:
  • Your Data: We do not store or retain the data you enrich through our API
  • API Requests: Request logs are retained for 30 days for debugging purposes
  • Security: All API communications are encrypted via TLS 1.3
  • Compliance: We comply with applicable data protection regulations

LeadMagic services must be used in compliance with:

  • Scraping data for resale
  • Violating third-party terms of service
