Managing Your Credits

Check Your Balance

Use the Check Credits endpoint to monitor your balance programmatically:

Dashboard View

Your current usage statistics are displayed on the main dashboard in the top left of the display. For detailed reports:
  1. Go to Settings > Credit History
  2. View detailed reports on credits consumed and API usage

Auto Top-Up

Never run out mid-enrichment:

Go to Settings

Navigate to Settings > Billing in your dashboard.

Enable Auto Top-Up

Set a threshold (e.g., 500 credits) and purchase amount.

Relax

Credits are automatically purchased when your balance drops below the threshold.

Manual Top-Up

Need credits immediately?
  1. Go to Settings > Billing
  2. Click “Purchase Credits”
  3. Select a credit package
  4. Complete payment - credits are added instantly

Optimize Your Credit Usage

Save 80%+ on wasted creditsBefore running expensive enrichments (mobile finder, full profiles), validate your email list:
  1. Run Email Validation (20 per credit)
  2. Filter for valid and valid_catch_all only
  3. Then run premium enrichments on verified contacts
This prevents spending credits on invalid contacts.
In your code or Clay workflows, only enrich when conditions are met:

Process records in batches rather than one-by-one:
  • Reduce API overhead
  • Handle errors gracefully
  • Monitor credit consumption per batch
  • Stop early if results are poor
Focus expensive enrichments on high-value prospects:
  1. Score leads by ICP fit
  2. Enrich top-tier leads first
  3. Use cheaper validation for lower tiers
  4. Re-evaluate before scaling

Team Credit Management

Available on Essential plan and above.

Share Credits Across Your Team

  1. Click your name in the top left
  2. Switch from “Personal Account” to your organization
  3. Go to Settings > Team
  4. Use the three dots next to each member to allocate credits

Track Team Usage

Monitor which team members consume the most credits:
  1. Go to Settings > Usage & Billing
  2. Review the Credit Usage Report
  3. Identify high-consumption activities
  4. Adjust allocations as needed

Upgrading Your Plan

  • You can upgrade your plan at any time
  • Existing credits transfer as you upgrade
  • Your current subscription will end immediately, and the new subscription date will begin at that time

Downgrading Your Plan

  • You can downgrade your plan at any time
  • It will go into effect at the end of your current billing cycle
  • An Essential plan is required for credits to rollover each month

Invoices

We deliver the invoice upon charging you for your subscription. You can access past invoices and/or setup invoice forwarding in the platform under Settings > Billing.
